Slope is a very common phrase you will hear in math classes.  If you have ever gone skiing (or really, if you have ever seen a hill) you are already somewhat familiar with what slope is.  Slope is a measure of how steep something is.  This means that slope must be a number.  In math, we usually use slope to describe how steep to draw a line on a coordinate plane.  The teacher in the video below does a fantastic job of describing how to find slope based on two points of a line.
